As a jazz pianist, Jeff Franzel toured with big-band legend Les Brown and His Band of Renown, as well as The Hues Corporation. With Les Brown, he served as pianist for Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., and Mel Tormé.
As a songwriter, his first ever recorded song was the #2 pop hit, Taylor Dayne's "Don't Rush Me." Jeff had the top 10 AC hit "You've Got A Way" with Kathy Troccoli, and has had hits with The Temptations, NSYNC , Shawn Colvin, Clay Aiken, Josh Groban, Placido Domingo, Dianne Reeves and Rhys Lewis. Jeff has had over 20 top 10 singles and 300 recordings worldwide.
A number of Jeff's songs have been featured in films/TV such as Runaway Bride, Serendipity, Deja Vu, American Homecoming, Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, Saturday Night Live, Dawson's Creek and Touched by an Angel.
Jeff was born in St. Louis, so he’s excited to be back performing his own show at Blue Strawberry in his home town on Wednesday, November 1, and to accompany Ken Haller on Thursday, November 2.
Jeff has been a Yamaha artist since 2011, and has recorded 3 albums Mood of the Moment, When You Know and Blues Themes Requests in front of a live audience at the Oscar Peterson Hall in Montreal on a Yamaha CFX Piano.
