Blue Strawberry | There Were Bells | Caitlin Hadeler

Caitlin Hadeler

An evening of standards and musical theatre favorites with Caitlin Hadeler and Lynda Marshall. Caitlin’s bell-like voice rings in tunes of Gershwin, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Sondheim, and more.

Caitlin Hadeler is equally at home with Broadway literature as she is on the opera stage. She is a singer and teacher in the Metro East. Her brilliant soprano voice and shining stage presence has made her a favorite with the Edwardsville Symphony. She also frequents the Winter Opera St. Louis stage in supporting roles and as a member of the chorus. This summer she joins in Union Avenue Opera’s anniversary season in the chorus of Aida. An Illinois native, Caitlin received her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Millikin University. After completing her Masters in Cambridge, Caitlin continued to live and sing in the Boston area. A mid-west girl at heart, she moved back to the St. Louis area to be a part of the vibrant arts scene and to spread her love for theatre and music as a teacher in her community.

Caitlin has known Lynda Marshall for many years as a teacher, colleague, and friend. Her passionate piano playing and beautiful musicality brings out the most spectacular colors in Caitlin’s voice. Lynda Marshall is the choir director for grades 6-12 at Bethalto CUSD#8, and an Adjunct Professor of Voice at McKendree University in Lebanon, IL. Marshall has taught private voice and piano lessons for all ages and accompanied choruses and soloists in the St. Louis/Metro-East area for thirty years. She is currently working towards licensure as a trainee with the Association for Body Mapping Education to enhance musicians’ abilities in practice and performance to increase ease while reducing and eliminating injury.
