Feyza Eren and The Midwest Jazztette

The Midwest Jazztette is a nine-piece band that plays West Coast Jazz, Latin Jazz, and Bossa Nova from the 1950's – think Gerry Mulligan, Shorty Rogers, Stan Getz, “Birth of the Cool” album. To capture the sound of this quiet/intense/tight-harmony music, the group features five horns along with rhythm and vocals. Started in 2013, the Jazztette has built their repertoire to over 100 charts. Most are arranged by bandmembers and highlight individuals' talents in features and improvised solos.

Internationally acclaimed jazz vocalist, Feyza Eren, joined the Jazztette in 2024. She adds a wealth of experience to the group - from recording/performing, jazz and pop tunes to being a top-tier performer in the vibrant Turkish music world. Her alluring voice and graceful delivery adds a perfect complement to the band’s harmonies and shines on her features. Feyza’s voice and the band’s five horns meld to provide a tasty and must-hear sonic offering.
