Jack Snelling

St. Louis native Jack Snelling plays their first headlining show in St. Louis!

Jack is a composer and a pianist, whose influences span many genres from Ahmad Jamal, Brad Mehldau and Lili Boulanger to Earth, Wind, and Fire and Ben Folds. They describe their compositions and improvisations as a meshing of all the different artists and performers that inspire them, regardless of background. Jack brings to Blue Strawberry a set of solo piano compositions that come from influences across the country – including a couple of brand-new world premieres!

Joining Jack for the second half of the show is Kansas City-based vocalist Dani Major; together, they promise a fun collection of pieces from songbooks young and old – guaranteed to keep the audience on the edge of their seat.

Jack grew up in Webster Groves, where they graduated from Webster Groves High School in 2018. An alumnus of Jazz St. Louis’ JazzU program and the St. Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra, Jack is so thankful to the St. Louis arts scene for nurturing their growth as a young musician.
