Kevin Paul Hofeditz

When All the Songs Make Sense, conceived, written, and performed by Kevin Paul Hofeditz, is a musical journey via songs by Cole Porter, the Gershwins, Stephen Sondheim, Schmidt and Jones, Burt Bachrach, Henry Mancini, and Michel LeGrand, that seeks to answer the question, “How do you know when you’re in love?”

“Kevin Paul Hofeditz’s original cabaret may be centered around his life story, but it’s one that every member of the audience can relate to and is entertained by. Full of comedy and heart, When All the Songs Makes Sense is a delight.” – Robert D. Rook, Managing Artistic  Director, The Award-Winning TADA Theatre

“Brimming with wit and charm, Kevin appropriately shares lessons from his life with When All the Songs Make Sense. Professing this insight through the songs of Stephen  Sondheim, Henry Mancini, and Michel LeGrand, among others, it seems as though Kevin’s journey as a teacher isn’t over just yet.” Kara Walton, Sammons Center for the Arts

A native of Edwardsville, Illinois, Kevin combined a professional acting career with a distinguished academic career as both a professor and administrator. He retired from Southern Methodist University in 2023 as Executive Associate Dean Emeritus and Professor Emeritus of  Theatre.

Since his retirement, Kevin has had the pleasure of performing his cabaret for the prestigious Merriman Cabaret Series at Dallas’s Sammons Center for the Arts and as a Special Holiday Event for the TADA Theatre in Lincoln, Nebraska.
