Savy Jackson

Pride and Joy
Savy Jackson’s "Pride and Joy" invites the audience on a journey throughout the history of sound, exploring the music of iconic storytelling artists that have fostered Savy’s love for music. Selections tributing artists we all know and adore like Chaka Khan, Aretha Franklin, Amy Winehouse and Minnie Ripperton can be heard; along with Savy’s original music. The set also includes songs from previous shows and Savy’s “musical theatre bucket list.” This performance is dedicated to her late grandfather, Lester “Billy” Jackson Jr.

Savy Jackson is an actor, musician and performer with a deep love for songwriting, telling stories, and connecting with people through music. The Jersey native first shared her talent with St. Louis last summer, starring as Ariel in The Muny’s production of The Little Mermaid. This summer she returns as Alana in the highly anticipated production of Dear Evan Hansen at the Muny. Savy made her Broadway debut in the original company of Bad Cinderella starring as the titular role every Sunday. Savy can also be seen in the Max feature Sweethearts.
