Bill Poss and the Useful Tools

Bill Poss spent most of his life driving around North America playing his songs and finding his people. From 1996 to 2013, he lived in a tent, a truck, an RV, a bus, and an abandoned hotel. In 2013, he returned to his hometown of Effingham, IL. He started the Moccasin Creek Festival, and several other festivals, and is releasing his 7th studio album, Looking Back, in the winter of 2027.

The new album is a bittersweet recollection of the time passed and the choices made, the friends and the family. It ranges from bluegrass to folk to rock and back again. "Looking Back" is the story of a confused, aging man for whom the past is home and the future is dread.
