Mitzi MacDonald and The Laws of Music
You may know Mitzi and her children Holly, Ashby and Andrew Laws from the band Keltic Reign. They have often graced the stage here at the Strawberry, and elsewhere in St. Louis with their driving blend of Scots-Irish music. We are thrilled to have them back, this time to release their first collaboration album, as a family.
Mitzi on her own, is a very well known performer and prolific songwriter, going back to her piano-bar days, when she recorded ‘Teddybears Can’t Keep Me Warm’ in 1985 and winning the Blueberry Hill Songwriting contest with her country song ‘Dangerous’. She tells us- her songwriting has changed and grown up with her, through the years, and her 5 solo albums, alongside life’s trials and tribulations.
Mitzi sings from her heart to yours – and there is no doubt where she aiming. Not one to waste words, the message that life is precious, and how you can nurture that thought- is getting delivered through her songs with titles like- Follow the Path, Growing Pains, Life is Short, and A New Day.
They will be joined onstage by the other members of Keltic Reign, so it’s pretty much a guarantee how this show will end up musically! Please join us for this very special celebratory evening!
From Mitzi – Many thanks to Andrea Morse who engineered and recorded this project, and so much more! Heartfelt thanks to Michael Levine, Marc Waters, and Randy Getz – from our beloved band - and also Ken Martin who helped make this album special! We are so proud to perform these songs for you, and to celebrate the evening. We hope you can join us! The album will soon be available digitally on all music platforms, and on CD as well.
